4 fascinating fall classes we can't wait to take at The Living Arts & Science Center

What do yoga under the stars, animal encounters, and science experiments have in common? They’re all part of The Living Arts & Science Center’s lineup of fall events .

The LASC’s Fun-Stitute is the place where learning and fun for all abilities + ages (yes, you adults, too) meet. Here are a few of our top picks that will get your brain thinking and creativity flowing:

🔬 Seedlings in STEAM

It’s never too early to foster an interest in science. From a close-up look at the bugs living around The LASC to learning how birds construct their nests, this eight-week program is perfect for kiddos (ages 3-5) who love nature. Explore the full program lineup before registering your child.

🎨 Teen Art Lab

This afterschool series of classes, held on Tuesday evenings 5:30-7:30 p.m., provides middle school art-lovers a safe space to meet like-minded people , try new things, and potentially discover new hobbies and interests. Each meeting is a stand-alone class, and students may register for as many classes as they’d like (pre-registration is required).

🧸 Family Classes

Fun for the whole family? Count us in . This fall, the Fun-Stitute has four chances for families to take a class together . Here’s what to add to your calendar:

• Spa Day | Saturday, Aug. 24, 10 a.m.-12 p.m.
• Paint & Sip: Family Edition | Saturday, Sept. 28, 10 a.m.-12 p.m.
• Spooktacular Ceramics | Saturday, Oct. 26, 10 a.m.-12 p.m.
• Let’s Make a Stuffed Animal | Saturday, Nov. 23, 10 a.m.-12 p.m.

🧘Yoga in the Planetarium

Calling all yogis: This beloved class is back. Attendees can find their inner zen in an immersive experience under the cosmos .

The first and fourth Saturdays of each month are reserved for adults. Kiddos are invited to attend with a family member on the second Saturday of each month. Space is extremely limited for this class so make sure to secure your spot in advance .
