Jealousy, like fear, is a very normal emotion and can be used to motivate us. However, how we manage and act on that jealousy will make a huge difference in our self-esteem, relationships, and careers.

Understanding the Difference Between Jealousy and Inspiration

Jealousy is when you view another person as a rival or threat. It stirs unhealthy competition.

Inspiration is when someone motivates you to become a better version of yourself while still admiring that person. You can be happy for their success.

How to Transition From Jealousy to Being Inspired

The key is to realize you can have "it," too. First, you need to define what you want. Then, think about the emotions lurking behind the jealousy. Most often, they are related to insecurity, fear of rejection, comparison, or competition.

Instead of envying the other person and feeling down about what you don't have, which is a scarcity mindset, rewire the mind for a growth mindset. Learn to be inspired by that person because you are worthy of all you desire.

    To shift mindset:

    • Surround yourself with inspiring and supportive people.
    • Set inspired actionable goals.
    • Celebrate each small victory.
    • Practice gratitude each day.
    • Build your self-esteem.
    • Stop comparing yourself to others.
    • Release the need for external validation.
    • Celebrate the success of others.

    Final Thoughts

When feelings of jealousy arise, use them as motivation. Question what emotions you are feeling under that jealousy, and then switch your thinking to empower yourself. You can achieve anything by making decisions that lead to accomplishing your goals.

There is enough for everyone. Your superpower is your uniqueness. So, shine bright and be confident with who you are.

Thank you so much for reading. I wish you abundance in all areas of your life.

    Peace & Light,

    Libby
