Why Priorities Determine Our Future & How to Live the Life You Love

Sometimes, we get stuck in patterns, many of which are self-defeating based on outdated beliefs. What is it that you deeply care about? What is it that you are dying to do but keep putting off? When did you last talk to the people who matter most?

Understanding Priorities

Everyone has different priorities in life, even each day. But are your priorities in alignment with what you desire?

Prioritizing means clarifying your vision, who you are, and how you want to live your life. Are you living the life you love? Are you rising into your best self or settling and falling into the hampster trap of expectations?

Some people prioritize work and work long hours to make more money. But is this affecting their health? What about their relationships? Other people prioritize family, health, or personal development.

We sweat the small stuff when, in reality, if you believe in God and feel your connection, you know everything will work out. It is simply about trust. The biggest challenge comes because many people feel betrayed, even by God. But maybe if we prioritized God (whatever higher power you choose), life would be less stressful and more enjoyable.

Final Thoughts

Live each day and love hard. Priorities seem to change as we realize we are getting older and running out of days. When we aren't here anymore, what legacy are you leaving, and what will people say at your funeral? Be the author or architect of your life and design it so that you enjoy it and others remember you.

I intend to leave my mark in this beautiful world by helping others and through books. I hope when my day comes that, my children are proud and that people at my funeral have nothing but kind words to say about me. I prioritize compassion, respect, empathy, and devotion to a higher power.

Have the courage to sleigh your fears and move in the direction of your dreams. Notice the miracle unfolding around you each day, and know that YOU are one of those miracles. You matter.
