Edison Council Tables Ordinance to Reduce Maximum Height for New Developments on Amboy Avenue
EDISON, NJ - The township has tabled an ordinance to amend the Amboy Avenue Redevelopment Plan. The ordinance would have reduced the maximum height for new mixed-use buildings. The council voted four to two to table the ordinance at their regular meeting on Wednesday. The ordinance aimed to reduce the permissible height for mixed-use retail and office buildings. Rutgers basketball gets big boost as star freshman practices for 1st time
Dylan Harper has taken the court with his college team for the first time. Rutgers basketball’s star freshman participated in his first practice as a Scarlet Knight this week, a person with knowledge of the situation confirmed to NJ Advance Media. On Friday, both the program and the former five-star prospect shared photos on Instagram of him taking part in the practice held at Jersey Mike’s Arena.

New Police Chief Appointed At Roselle Council Meeting
ROSELLE, NJ - A new police chief was appointed at Wednesday’s Roselle Common Council Meeting. Roselle Police Captain Helder Freire, who was acting Police Chief after former chief Stacey Williams was relieved of his duty, received the full-time appointment in a resolution passed by the Council. Trenton Announces City Wide Cleanup through August
Starting in August, the city of Trenton will initiate its City Wide Cleanup. The Cleanup will be done by ward on Saturdays; starting with the South Ward on Aug. 3, the North Ward on Aug. 10, the East Ward on Aug. 17, and the West Ward on Aug. 24. Removal will consist of yard waste and furniture. Please DO NOT leave construction debris, home renovation debris, chemicals, televisions, electronic devices, or unbundled wood/branches over 4ft long. During this event, partners will provide on the spot health services, community resources and backpacks filled with new school supplies.
