    2 have life-threatening injuries after head-on crash in Liberty on Shiloh Road near Ramseur Julian Road, troopers say

    LIBERTY, N.C. (WGHP) — Two people were left with life-threatening injuries after a head-on crash in Liberty on Wednesday, according to an NC State Highway Patrol news release.

    At 6:52 p.m., troopers responded to a crash on Shiloh Road near Ramseur Julian Road in Randolph County.

    Man dies after going off road, hitting tree in Jamestown on West Main Street near Scientific Street, troopers say

    A 38-year-old Asheboro man was going north on Shiloh Road in a 1991 Mazda pickup truck.

    A 27-year-old Winston-Salem woman was going south in a 2015 Nissan car.

    The truck went across the centerline and collided head-on with the Nissan.

    Both drivers suffered serious life-threatening injuries, and both were taken to the hospital.

    This collision is still under investigation.

    Shiloh Road near Ramseur Julian Road was closed for around three hours during the investigation.

    Troopers cleared the scene at 10:07 p.m.
