I-SS welcomes 162 new teachers and classified employees
Approximately 162 new Iredell-Statesville Schools’ employees were welcomed this week at South Iredell High School in Troutman for the system’s new employee orientation. The event is annual tradition that brings all of the new teachers and classified employees, such as teacher assistants and office support positions, from across the system under one roof to fill out forms, learn about district policies and get excited about the upcoming school year.

Previewing the Opponents: Final month of Florida State's regular season begins with hosting North Carolina
North Carolina went 8-5 during the 2023 season. They went 4-4 against Atlantic Coast Conference opponents. They finished the season on a three-game losing streak. UNC opened the season with six consecutive wins. The good start began in Charlotte, N.C., when they defeated South Carolina (31-17). They then opened at home the following week, defeating Appalachian State (40-34) in double overtime. Next came a victory at home over Minnesota (31-13), a road victory at Pitt (41-24), and back-to-back home victories over Syracuse (40-7) and Miami (41-31).
