LIBERTY, Pa. ( WETM ) — Construction crews will be working on a couple of roads in Liberty Borough this upcoming week as part of a two-year-long project.

According to PennDOT, crews will be doing drainage work on Williamson Trail Road (Route 2007) between Blockhouse Road and Mase Road (T-800) during the week of Monday, July 22. The road will be reduced to one lane, and flaggers will be directing traffic.

Crews will continue to install an 84-inch pipe across Route 414 between Water Street and Shaffer Hill Road this week as well.

PennDOT reminds drivers to use Route 6 detour ahead of Troy Fair

A portion of Water Street between Shaffer Hill Road and just south of Bloss Mountain Road is still closed to accommodate the roadwork project. Motorists who would typically need to use this road can take a detour using Route 15 and Bloss Mountain Road.

This $6.2 million road improvement project includes drainage work, roadway reconstruction, resurfacing, and retaining wall, sidewalk, and curbing work. The project is expected to be completed in November 2025, but the weather could change this, and work is paused during the winter months.
