A pickup and an Amish buggy collided Wednesday west of Licking, the Missouri State Highway Patrol said.

MSgt. Ryan Vaughan said an eastbound 2003 Chevrolet Silverado driven by a 17-year-old boy and a westbound horse-drawn buggy operated by Christie D. Schwartz, 42, of Licking, were traveling on Deason Drive two miles west of Licking.

Vaughan said the truck was traveling too fast for conditions and failed to see the buggy and struck it on the front left side, ejecting Schwartz.

She was taken by private vehicle to Phelps Health in Rolla with minor injuries. The buggy had moderate damage. The truck had minor damage.
