Unsettled & Warm Pattern Through the Weekend
FRIDAY - SUNDAY: A warmer start to the end of the week! Temperatures are back to summertime warmth by Friday afternoon and into the weekend. High temperatures on Friday are expected to be in the 80s along with a mix of sunshine and clouds. The warmer temperatures stick around through the weekend! Saturday starts off with lows in the low 60s but we warm up into the low and mid 80s along with mostly sunny conditions and light winds. Sunday looks to bring much of the same as well. Dewpoints are looking to stay in the upper 50s to low 60s during peak heating, which means not too muggy. Our rain chances pick back up this weekend. We are looking at a chance for spotty showers and a few showers/thunderstorms Friday, Saturday evening and overnight, and isolated chances on Sunday afternoon and evening.
Rocky Kreuser Signs in Greece for 3rd Pro Season
Former North Dakota State men's basketball standout Rocky Kreuser has signed a contract to play his third professional season in Greece. Kreuser will join PAOK Basketball Club in Pylaia-Chortiatis, Greece. Playing for the Antwerp Giants in Belgium this past season, he averaged nine points and five rebounds per game to help Antwerp advance to the league finals.
Stingers quiet Larks in Bismarck
BISMARCK, ND — Stingers erupt for an 8-run 8th inning to propel them to a 10-4 win over the Larks. This was the second series in Bismarck that the Stingers have swept. Willmar was down 4-1 heading into the 8th inning, when Larks pitchers walked 4 batters with the bases loaded to give the Stingers a 5-4 lead. A 2-run fielder’s choice from Jack Taxdahl (Minnesota), a Jack Spanier (Minnesota) sac-fly, and an Andrew Sojka (California State-Northridge) RBI double accounted for the runs.

Fargo restaurant heavily damaged in late night fire; Cause under investigation
FARGO (KFGO) – Fire caused heavy damage to Mango’s Mexican and American Grill at 2901 Main Avenue in Fargo. It was reported shortly after 11:30 p.m. on Thursday. Fire Department Battalion Chief Lee Soeth says the first crews on the scene reported heavy fire and smoke from the building’s roof. Inside, firefighters found intense heat, dense smoke, and flames in the kitchen area.
No charges initially filed against a woman in West Fargo stabbing
WEST FARGO – No charges will be filed at this time in the stabbing death of 38-year-old Alexander Anderson of West Fargo who died of a stab wound to the chest early Monday. 31-year-old Robyn Lee of West Fargo was being held in connection with the stabbing but was released from custody on Thursday. The Cass County State’s Attorneys Office says after thoroughly reviewing the evidence available, charges will not be filed at this time.
911 call centers back online in MN after outages
MINNEAPOLIS — Call centers are coming back online after a global Microsoft outage knocked out 911 for counties across the nation Friday morning. Companies that use Microsoft have been affected by the outages across the world starting Thursday night and persisting into Friday morning. Many people are stuck in airport lines or stranded at their destination temporarily as airlines race to get planes back in the air.
**Update: One Injured in Rollover Accident on US Highway 10**
The Minnesota State Patrol is investigating an accident that occurred early this morning on US Highway 10 at Becker County Road 54. A 1996 Chrysler Town & Country, driven by 48-year-old Cory Thomas Swift of Faribault, veered off the road and rolled into a ditch, landing on its roof. The incident took place at approximately 7:03 a.m.
