‘Masked Singer’ Season 12 Reveals Dust Bunny as Andy Richter: Inside the Clues and Guesses

There are certain Masked Singer contestants that you just know you’ll never forget for years to come, and Dust Bunny is certainly one of them. The judges were so confused when the unique critter performed on the stage for the very first time. The costume was equally adorable and terrifying to say the least. Andy Richter was revealed to be under the mask after getting eliminated on Sports Night.

Clues for Dust Bunny on ‘The Masked Singer’

In Dusty Bunny’ clue package, there was a sign that said earthquake on it. He said that singing has always been a secret passion of his. There was a clip of him walking through an office. He said that when he was a rookie and first got into the business, he had a super important job – making coffee.

The camera then cut to Dust Bunny waving a race car flag. Dusty Bunny said that, eventually, he was a stand in for a rehearsal to test the lighting. It was then that he realized he had a face for TV. He then held up a mask covered in blood.

Dust Bunny said that through his work, he collected quite a list of costars, including Anne Hathaway , David Bowie and Marlon Brando, but he said no one has ever seen that footage.

For his big performance, Dust Bunny performed “Sweet Caroline” by Neil Diamond . The judges were singing along and appreciated his spirit while performing, though he did not necessarily have the most crisp vocals.

His clue for Sports Night was a pair of ice skates. “My attitude in this competition is to burn through it in a blaze of glory,” Dust Bunny said, which had the judges running wild with their guesses.

Who Was Dust Bunny’s ‘Masked Singer’ Ambassador

Dust Bunny’s Masked Singer Ambassador was Dick Van Dyke . Dick competed as Gnome in season 9 of the show, with the judges saying that he was the most famous person to ever compete.

“You may remember me as the cute Gnome from season 9,” Dick said in the clue package. “Now I am 98 years old so I know a little bit about collecting dust. So here’s my pal, the Dust Bunny.”

Inside the Judges’ Guesses

The ice skates had everyone thinking of Blades of Glory when they made their initial guesses.

Ken Jeong guessed Will Ferrell , while Jenny McCarthy guessed John C. Reilly . Rita Ora guessed Jay Leno because Dust Bunny worked with a lot of celebrities. This one was honestly really hard to guess. "Is #dustbunnymask Joe Piscapo? #TheMaskedSinger," one person on X said.

Another person suggested, "Dust Bunny is Andy Richter #themaskedsinger." They were right!
