Granger Smith Provides Aid to Hurricane Victims With Proceeds From Live Album

Granger Smith has teamed up with Hope Found , an organization he works with often, to provide essential supplies and support to areas devastated by Hurricane Helene. The convoy equipped with a semi truck and several trailers departed this past Sunday bringing aid to East Tennessee and the Carolinas. “We’re going into places where there is no infrastructure left,” Smith said. “We’re fully autonomous and will be searching for those most in need.”

Smith plans to broadcast his iHeart Radio show “After Midnite with Granger Smith” from the heart of the Appalachians. The team is bringing several Starlink kits to help facilitate the broadcasts and plan to leave those behind to residents that desperately need them to communicate. “This is something that hasn’t really been attempted before and I’m thrilled to have iHeart’s support,” Smith adds. “We want to see for ourselves what these people are facing and report exactly what we see.”

As temperatures drop and residents are still without power, water or shelter, Smith and his team realize how dire the situation is. “It’s important to know what to prioritize. I work with an organization called Hope Found and we travel the world doing this,” says Smith.. “Having intel on the ground is imperative. The needs change constantly and will continue to change as the days go on. We are bringing things like water filtration systems, chainsaw oil, propane, medical supplies, among everyday essentials.”

In addition to boots on the ground, Smith decided now was the perfect time to release the live album from his 2023 Farewell Tour with all proceeds going directly to hurricane relief through the River Kelly Fund. The Like A River - The Farewell Tour - Live was released Friday, October 18, on all music platforms. This is Smith’s final country music album , marking the end to his distinguished music career. The live album was recorded during the last show of his Farewell Tour on August 26, 2023, at Billy Bob's in Fort Worth, Texas. Smith continues to pour into ministry, public speaking and philanthropy.
