A spearfisherman was airlifted to a Miami-area hospital after sustaining injuries from a shark attack off Key West, authorities shared. The incident, which involved a 37-year-old man, occurred on a reef around 3:40 p.m. yesterday, according to information provided by the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office. Attempting to secure his catch back to his boat when the attack took place, the victim was ultimately subjected to the ocean’s unforeseen ferocity as a bull shark bit him twice in the leg.
