Application deadline extended for Florida Virtual Full-Time Public Schools
FLVS has extended the application deadline for the full-time option. The deadline is July 19 for students in 9th through 12th grades. Broward College Student Receives Aviation Scholarship to Follow His Dream to be a Pilot
FORT LAUERDALE, FL. – Broward College aviation student and aspiring pilot, Skylor Liu, recently received the Stephen “Cajun” Del Bagno Memorial Scholarship. The newly established scholarship was created in honor of Del Bagno, a fallen U.S. Air Force Thunderbird pilot, and aims to support aspiring aviators at Broward College.

A spearfisherman was airlifted to a Miami-area hospital after sustaining injuries from a shark attack off Key West, authorities shared. The incident, which involved a 37-year-old man, occurred on a reef around 3:40 p.m. yesterday, according to information provided by the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office. Attempting to secure his catch back to his boat when the attack took place, the victim was ultimately subjected to the ocean’s unforeseen ferocity as a bull shark bit him twice in the leg.
