LIMA — As Rite Aid Pharmacy locations continue to close nationwide due to bankruptcy, the impact has been felt in this area, both in Lima and St. Marys. On Friday, this impact was expanded as two more Lima locations were added to the official list of closures included in filings with the United States Bankruptcy Court, District of New Jersey.

Along with the previous announcements of closures at 1502 Executive Drive, St. Marys, and 302 W. Robb Ave., Lima, the Rite Aid locations at 3230 W. Elm St. and 3710 Shawnee Road in Lima have both been added to the list of the pharmacy chain’s Chapter 11 bankruptcy reorganization.

A sign at the Rite Aid location on Elm Street told customers their prescription records will be moved to Walgreens.

The two locations were among 31 locations in Ohio and Michigan added to the list of upcoming closures on Friday. Other Ohio communities impacted in this new list were Canal Fulton, Columbiana, Dayton, Maumee, Medina, Mount Vernon, Parma, Rossford, Toledo, Vandalia and Zanesville.

The company added another five Ohio stores to the list Monday night, including Akron, Canton, Centerville, Holland, and Kettering.

The Rite Aid website still lists 142 pharmacy locations in Ohio as of Monday, including five Lima locations. With the confirmed closures of the Robb Avenue, Elm Street and Shawnee Road locations, this leaves 1415 Bellefontaine Ave. and 506 W. Market St. as the two locations in Lima that have not yet been included in any official court filings or corporate closure announcements.
