Crime Stoppers Spy a Solution: Trail Cameras Donated for Game Wardens

Limestone County Crime Stoppers donated four trail cameras to local Texas Parks and Wildlife game wardens on Friday, July 12. The donation was overseen by Limestone County Crime Stoppers President Dean Satterfield and Capt. Jason Ash, Limestone County Sheriff’s Office Crime Stoppers Law Enforcement coordinator and CID Captain.
Trail cameras can range in price from $30 to $600, but according to OutdoorLife.com, the best “bang for your buck” is typically found in the $100 to $200 range. These Spartan Eclipse trail cameras, which fall in the middle of that range, boast five-star reviews on many trail cam enthusiast websites.
Satterfield stated that the hope of the Crime Stoppers is to assist game wardens in reducing and solving crimes in the county. Game Wardens Thomas Rinn and Dylan Wallace expressed enthusiasm not only for the trail cameras but also for the rechargeable batteries and SD cards needed for their operation.
“These trail cams will be a huge help in the enforcement of conservation and hunting violations,” Wallace said.
