LMC Foundation Purchases New Kodak Alaris S3000 Scanner

Limestone Medical Center Business Office has received a new Kodak Alaris S3000 Scanner.  Staff scan large batches of daily insurance explanation of benefits (EOB) forms.  These EOBs are scanned into a daily file that is shared by the billing staff allowing access to search payments.  In addition to insurance records, the scanner will be used for other Business Office and Medical Record document scanning.  The scanner provides sharper images to deliver more accurate data to applications via optical character recognition (OCR) software, searchable PDF and barcode reading.  Perfect Page technology creates crisp images from even poor-quality originals while scanning at rated speeds.  The scanner removes streaks, smooths backgrounds, has the capability to image edge fill and more automatic image enhancements.  Limestone Medical Center Business Office extends heartfelt appreciation to the LMC Foundation Board.
