Crockett bids farewell to Jerry Lonon
Jerry Lonon said he thought he’d be the first head football coach at Daniel Boone and he hoped he’d be the second head coach at David Crockett. Neither opportunity materialized, but Lonon, who died earlier this month, jump-started the Boones Creek program as the head coach before helping engineer David Crockett’s 74-0 rout of Daniel Boone in the first Musket Bowl in 1971.

Senior Outreach Director Jason Seay said they have always had FAFSA workshops at high schools and colleges throughout the state but families need more support this year.
