Arts and music set for Clarion Summer Fest’s third weekend
Clarion Summer Fest’s Arts and Music weekend, organized by The Local Clarion County, will run from Friday, Aug. 2, through Sunday, Aug. 4. The event features the Glassblowers Village in Memorial Park, showcasing crafts from glassblowers across the Northeast, and an art glass exhibit by Dominick Labino at the Clarion County Historical Society. Activities include Lost Wax Metal Casting workshops, Pop-Up Shops, street musicians, food vendors, a chalk art competition, and a Big Marble Hunt. Additional highlights are the Brewery 5K Run, pig-themed activities in the Kids Zone, a yoga class, and live music at Mechanistic Brewing Company. MUNCY – While employed as a Department of Corrections parole agent at the state Correctional Institution here, Kenneth E. Jones had a sexual relationship with an inmate on the prison grounds between June and late October of last year, it was alleged in court documents made public this week.

Hilliards woman found guilty of third-degree murder
Jessica Lee Callahan, 20, was found guilty Thursday, July 18, of third-degree murder in the March 2023 shooting death of 31-year-old Tyler Whitlatch.
