Plans brewing for potential 7 Brew Coffee shop in DuBois
DuBOIS — The Sandy Township Planning Commission, at its meeting on Tuesday, reviewed sketch plans submitted by Toth and Associates on behalf of 7 Brew Coffee. 7 Brew Coffee is proposing to demolish the existing Long John Silver’s restaurant — which was still in operation as of Wednesday, according to employees — and construct a 510-square-foot building to serve coffee and a 280-square-foot cooler on the property, according to DuBois/Sandy Township Manager Shawn Arbaugh. The building will only be used by employees and will not have public access.

LEEPER -- In 1974, the Clarion-Forest Little League team won the District 25 championship and was managed by Mike O’Toole Jr. from Tionesta and assisted by coach Jerry Sass. The team defeated Petroleum Valley 12-2, Oil City 10-2 and South Butler 7-1 to win District 25 for 11-12 year old all-stars. The Clarion-Forest all-stars were defeated by Hopewell in the state playoffs 9-3. The team was comprised of players from Fryburg, Lucinda, Leeper, Tionesta, Marienville and Hickory.
