Hunger Action Heroes Comic Book Launch by Feeding San Diego
Feeding San Diego held a party to celebrate the launch of the comic book, “Hunger Action Heroes Unite!” Hunger Halter and Demeter were created by two local students stemming from an art contest organized by Feeding San Diego launched. Artists from all over the region had their chance to create a hunger action hero to represent Feeding San Diego’s mission to end hunger through food rescue. Since then, the characters have been brought to life by a Hollywood costume designer, sat on a panel at Comic-Con, appeared on news segments, and now, they have their very own comic book aimed at young readers who want to learn about hunger relief and food rescue.
