GoFundMe set up for North Platte man injured by suspect fleeing authorities
NORTH PLATTE, Neb. (KNOP) - A GoFundMe fundraiser has been set up for a North Platte man critically injured by a man he was trying to help in Lincoln County. The Nebraska State Patrol said the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of a vehicle fire on I-80 near Hershey Saturday afternoon. A witness reported that the driver of the vehicle, later identified as 32-year-old Abraham Pacheco of Thornton, Colo. was running away from the scene toward the Interstate Lakes area.
Suspect Arrested After Pursuit, Search in Lincoln County
JUNE 30, 2024 (NORTH PLATTE, NEB.) — The Nebraska State Patrol SWAT Team has arrested a Colorado man following a pursuit and search near Brady. The incident began at approximately 1:00 p.m. Saturday, when the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of a vehicle fire on Interstate 80 near Hershey. A witness reported that the driver of the vehicle was running away from the scene toward the Interstate Lakes area.

A witness reported that the driver of the vehicle, Pacheco, ran away from the scene.
Man that led law enforcement on hours-long manhunt appears in Lincoln County Court
NORTH PLATTE, Neb. (KNOP) - A 32-year-old Colorado man, accused of leading law enforcement on a manhunt near Brady, appeared in Lincoln County Court. Abraham Pacheco of Thornton, Colorado appeared before Judge Joel Jay Monday. Pacheco is charged with nine felony counts, including first-degree assault, second-degree assault, theft by receiving, theft by taking, leaving the scene of an injury accident, fleeing to avoid arrest, cruelty to animals, torture, and use of a deadly weapon to commit a felony.
