18-year-old Ogallala teen dies in wreck at dead end of North Platte street
An 18-year-old died in a collision with a tree at the west end of A Street just outside of North Platte Thursday morning. Nathaniel Sandoval, 18, of Ogallala, a passenger in the car, was pronounced dead at the scene after Lincoln County Sheriff's deputies responded to the scene about 9:45 a.m.

Iowa man wanted on sex charges arrested after high-speed chase in Lincoln County
NORTH PLATTE, Neb. (KNOP) - A man from Iowa wanted on sex charges is behind bars after leading law enforcement on a high speed chase. Officers with the North Platte Police Department were alerted Friday that Octavius Orlando Hurst Jr. was in the area. He was stopped by officers near East Leota and South Dewey streets and gave officers a fake name.
