NOTICE OF HEARING PROPOSED SALE OF USED and SURPLUS VEHICLES & EQUIPMENT. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a public hearing will be held by the Board of County Commissioners of Lincoln County in compliance with RCW 36.34.030, .040 and .080, the purpose of said hearing to declare as used and surplus with the intent to sell at auction, certain vehicles and equipment from the Public Works Department. The M/V Sanpoil, which carries vehicle traffic for two miles across Franklin D. Roosevelt Lake between Ferry and Lincoln Counties, will temporarily halt all runs on Tuesday and Wednesday (June 25-26) while the ferry undergoes routine inspections and maintenance.

Two people died in a helicopter crash Wednesday afternoon about 8 miles south of Davenport, Washington, according to Lincoln County Fire District 6. Fire Chief Brandon Larmer said crews were called shortly before 4:30 p.m. to an aircraft down in a private field about 1 mile north of Bluestem and Linstrum roads off State Route 28.
Spokane man, Coeur d'Alene man killed in helicopter crash near Davenport
DAVENPORT, Wash. — Several agencies continue to investigate a deadly helicopter crash that happened Wednesday near Davenport and Harrington. The Lincoln County Coroner identified 68-year-old Ryan Sandvig from Spokane and 63-year-old Mark Manteuffel from Coeur d'Alene as the two men who died in the crash. The Lincoln County Coroner said a cause of death has not been determined yet, saying it probably won't come for some time.

BLUESTEM, Wash. (AP) — Authorities say two men died in a helicopter crash in eastern Washington state. Lincoln County Fire District 6 Chief Brandon Larmer tells KREM-TV that the helicopter had two people aboard when it crashed Wednesday afternoon. The Lincoln County coroner said Thursday that 68-year-old Ryan Sandvig of Spokane and 63-year-old Mark Manteuffel of Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, died in the crash. The National Transportation Safety Board says the Robinson R-44 helicopter went down near Bluestem, Washington. The agency, along with the Federal Aviation Administration, is investigating.
