Murder suspect found unresponsive in Western Regional Jail
BARBOURSVILLE, W.Va. (WTAP) - An incarcerated man was discovered unresponsive on July 4. Tony Williamson, 35, who was incarcerated for murder charges out of Lincoln County, was discovered unresponsive on Thursday, July 4, at the Western Regional Jail Correctional Facility, according to authorities with the Division of Corrections and Rehabilitation.
Woman identified, arrest made after body found in Lincoln County
HAMLIN, W.Va. — West Virginia State Police have identified the woman whose body was found in Lincoln County and made an arrest in the case. Marissa Brandjes of Parkersburg, West Virginia, was found at Taunton Way off Frances Creek Road near Harts, West Virginia, on Monday, June 24.
Parkersburg Resident Detained for Lincoln County Homicide
Tony Williamson, a 35-year-old man from Parkersburg was detained in the early hours of Monday due to an allegation of first-degree murder linked to a case in Lincoln County. Agents from the Violent Crime and Narcotics Force alongside officers from the Uniform Division of the Parkers Police Department conducted the arrest.

PARKERSBURG, W.Va. (WTAP) - A Parkersburg man wanted in connection to a woman’s body found in southern West Virginia was taken into custody on Monday. According to the Parkersburg Police Department, Tony Williamson was taken into custody by the Parkersburg Narcotics Task Force and the Parkersburg Police Department’s Uniform Division on 7th Street before 4 a.m. on July 1. Police Chief Matt Board states he was taken without incident after he briefly tried to flee from authorities.
