Nebraska man on death row dies after unspecified medical treatment

(TECUMSEH, Neb.) A convicted killer on death row died at the Tecumseh State Correctional Institution on Saturday, the Sandhills Express reported.

The Nebraska Department of Correctional Services (NDCS) said that Arthur Gale, 55, died while undergoing treatment for an unspecified medical condition.

Gale was sentenced to death for the 2001 killings of his girlfriend's children Latara Chandler, 13, and Tramar Chandler, 7.

He received an additional 50-year sentence for the attempted murder of their mother who was beaten severely.

According to the NDCS, a grand jury will investigate the cause of death.
