The report released this week says they found those accusations mostly valid and that Dahl violated policy, but that no abuse or negligence towards students was committed. In one incident, Dahl bruised a student who the district says was biting and punching him. The report also notes many students, faculty, and staff who are opposed to Dahl’s actions. He will be placed on an improvement plan and will return to Osgood Elementary this fall.
4th of July Fun Fact & Fireworks Schedule Tonight
Today is America’s birthday, but you may not know that the 4th of July isn’t when the colonies declared independence from Britain. That happened two days earlier, in a vote by the Second Continental Congress on July 2, 1776. The Declaration of Independence document was then adopted on July 4. The celebrations tonight in Jamestown are capped off by the Fireworks Spectacular at the Speedway. The show begins around 10:30 after the races end. We hope you are having a very fun and safe Independence Day! Enjoy our special 4th of July music all day long, and an Independence Day Themed ‘Country Collection’ show with Kaye Frisky Hier tonight from 6:00-7:00 p.m.
