Nebraska quarterback commit will not confirm his recruitment is shutdown

A Nebraska commitment to the class of 2025 gave an odd answer when asked about his recruitment. Quarterback TJ Lateef sat down for a one-on-one interview with Tom Loy from 247Sports at the recent Elite 11 finals.

As the conversation drew to a close, Loy asked the four-star recruit about his Nebraska commitment.

“Is your recruitment completely shut down?”

Lateef’s answer is sure to draw raised eyebrows.

“My recruitment is… I won’t speak on that.”

In ten games last season, he threw for 1,965 yards with 13 touchdowns and seven interceptions as the quarterback at Luthern High School out of Orange, California. As a sophomore, he threw for 2,446 yards with 18 touchdowns and seven interceptions in 11 games.

This is a developing story and definitely something to keep an eye on.
