The Nebraska Cornhuskers have offered a scholarship to a top player in the class of 2026 . Xavier McDonald is a four-star wide receiver from Morton High School in Morton, MS.

Last season, as a sophomore, he appeared in 11 varsity football games. McDonald made 56 receptions for 1,166 yards and 16 touchdowns.

The wideout has been a popular name on the recruiting trail. Nebraska is the 15th scholarship offer, with McDonald already holding offers from Auburn , LSU , and Ole Miss.

The SEC appears to be a front-runner for his commitment. According to On3’s Recruitment Prediction Machine , Auburn is the early leader.

The Huskers do not hold any commitments to the class of 2026 but have extended numerous offers in the past week.
