Brandon “Dash” Arrington was in Lincoln this weekend for Nebraska’s end-of-the-summer junior day. Arrington, from La Mesa (Calif.) Mount Miguel considers Nebraska one of his top schools, and the Huskers did not hurt their chances with the nation’s No. 1 athlete in the 2026 class.
“It was good,” Arrington said. “Everything was good there. Really, everything opened my eyes, from the area to the facilities, to the stadium, and to the coaching staff. It all opened my eyes.”
Arrington can’t help but feel that Nebraska has the best facilities of all his visits. He has also visited Oklahoma, USC, and San Diego State.
“I think Nebraska has the best facilities out of all of the campuses I have been to yet. They have a bowling alley, all of the equipment, the recovery area, and everything at Nebraska was really good.”
The Huskers see Arrington and his 10.27/100-meter speed in the secondary playing boundary corner. Defense is Arrington’s preference, but Nebraska is leaving the door open to taking some offensive reps.
“Nebraska is recruiting me as a defensive back, but they said that I could get some reps at receiver, too,” Arrington said. “If coach Rhule sees me play receiver, he could put me on the field on offense, too.
“A lot of people think that I want to play offense, but I really like defense. Nebraska sees me playing cornerback right now. More of a boundary cornerback.”

Arrington sees things looking up for Nebraska. He sees the type of talent that they are recruiting to Lincoln, and he knows that more talented recruits will follow the talented recruits that Nebraska gets.
“I know that they have some new coaches on their staff that just came in,” Arrington said. “Things are going good for them with recruiting though because they have Dylan (Raiola) and they are recruiting David Sanders .
“They are recruiting me and guys like Jackson Cantwell . These are guys who are the top in their classes. They are starting something right now, and that’s good.”
Making a return visit to Lincoln this fall is significant for Arrington. He knows that he has limited opportunities to see games at schools with his official visits next summer.
“Nebraska is definitely one of my top schools,” Arrington said. “I am going to get back for a game this fall, 100%. After what I saw, everything was really nice, and I need to get back out to see a game.”
