Since May, Nebraska has added a few major pieces to its 2025 recruiting class with four-star defensive linemen Malcolm Simpson and Kade Pietrzak , along with blue-chip running back Jamarion Parker and four-star quarterback TJ Lateef .

Matt Rhule and Co. are up to 17 commitments in the cycle, and they still have a few major targets left on the board.

One of those is Lee’s Summit (Mo.) four-star wide receiver Isaiah Mozee — who has been committed to Oregon since April. The Huskers were one of his top schools then, and they haven’t given up their pursuit of him. In fact, it’s gotten a big boost after the program hired his father Jamar Mozee into an off-field role.

Mozee returned to Lincoln for the second time this summer over the weekend, which follows his official visit in June. Coming out of that trip, the Huskers are trending up in his recruitment. On Saturday night, HuskerOnline.com recruiting insiders Bryan Munson and Sean Callahan both logged picks for Nebraska to flip the No. 2 prospect in the Show-Me State.

Those picks follow the latest intel from On3 VP of Recruiting Steve Wiltfong earlier this week, where he said NU was making a move for Mozee.

Relationships, feeling like a priority are big factors in Huskers’ favor

“Since he committed to Oregon, Isaiah Mozee has taken an official visit to Nebraska,” Wiltfong said. “Now he’s coming back again, and his father Jamar Mozee works in an off-field role at Nebraska after previously working at UCF. So there’s a lot of good things going in Nebraska’s favor. This is a family that has always believed in Matt Rhule and the trajectory of the program. He’s always felt like a priority and had great visits to Lincoln in the past. He also visited in the spring. We love to say follow the visits. And Nebraska is trending if you follow that metric alone.

… I’m not sleeping on Nebraska for anybody right now at this point in the process. They are pedal to the medal. With the relationships [recruits have] with the staff and what they’re able to present off the field with their infrastructure, they’re in an exciting place right now for their top targets.”

NU freshman quarterback and former five-star recruit Dylan Raiola was around all weekend for junior day. Mozee had a chance to catch up with Raiola and get to know him more.

“He’s a cool dude,” Mozee told HuskerOnline . “It’s great just being around him. He’s a great guy and it’s great just being around him.”

Relationships like the one with Raiola, as well as the ones he has with the coaching staff dating back more than a year, make it a place that feels like home.

“Everything is about the family here at Nebraska,” he added.” It’s family-oriented, and coach Matt Rhule is a family guy. I know that there is a family here and I would be alright.”

The 6-foot, 190-pounder is the No. 223 overall prospect and No. 29 WR in the 2025 class, according to the On3 Industry Ranking , a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.
