Des Moines (Iowa) Valley On300 2026 athlete Jayden McGregory was one of the top prospects on the Nebraska campus last weekend as Matt Rhule and the Huskers brought in top targets before the dead period.

“Nebraska was great,” McGregory said. “I enjoy visiting in Lincoln.”

The four-star McGregory dove in on what caught his eye.

“I’d say a big highlight was really hanging out with all of the staff and coaches,” he said. “Especially Coach Rhule. He was out of his coaching element for a lil bit just hanging out with us and having fun.

“I also got to meet the new secondary coach, coach JB (John Butler). It was nice getting to know a little more about him and his background coaching in the NFL. He seems excited for his next chapter in Lincoln.”

McGregory remains excited about Nebraska as his process continues.

The On3 Industry ranks the 6-foot-2, 182-pound McGregory as the No. 1 recruit in Iowa, No. 10 athlete in the country and No. 159 prospect overall. Other offers include Iowa State, Minnesota, Michigan, Tennessee, Missouri, Kansas State, Illinois and Wisconsin.
