ESSEX JUNCTION, Vt. — A Vermont farmer has smashed the previous Champlain Valley Fair record for the largest pumpkin grown in the state. This year's winning pumpkin was grown by Wilbur Horton from Springfield, Vermont, with the pumpkin weighing in at a staggering 1,327.5 pounds. Horton is a member of the Vermont Giant Pumpkin Growers Association.
