    Lindale ISD hires new principal for elementary campus

    LINDALE, Texas ( KETK ) – Lindale ISD announced on Wednesday they have hired a new principal for Velma Penny Elementary.

    Alba-Golden ISD employees to receive raises for coming school year

    Taylor Jarman has served at the school district for a total of 11 years, most recently as the assistant principal for Velma Penny for the 2023-2024 school year.

    “I am excited and honored for the opportunity to lead Velma Penny Elementary as principal,” Jarman said. “It is a joy to work with such amazing students and teachers each day. Velma Penny Elementary is an exceptionally high performing campus and I look forward to serving alongside the faculty that lead students to high academic success.”

    Before coming to Velma Penny, Jarman taught 5th grade science and social studies at E.J. Moss Intermediate and was the Lindale High School Theater Director.

    “We are very pleased to have Mr. Taylor Jarman as the lead principal for Velma Penny Elementary,” Lindale ISD Superintendent Stan Surratt said. “Mr. Jarman has a great reputation of building great relationships with students, parents and teachers. Mr. Jarman is a natural leader and I look forward to his continuous growth as the educational leader of Velma Penny Elementary.”
