CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa (KCRG) - A meal site in Linn County will soon be expanding its operations in direct response to the closure of the First Avenue Hy-Vee. The Cedar Rapids Community School District will be operating a summer meal program out of the Johnson STEAM Academy building. just blocks away from the former 1st Avenue Hy-Vee.

Public Works staff will begin the clean up process today. If you have limbs that have fallen, you can either pull them to the curb through early next week or haul them to Public Works. The city will be accepting tree debris through Tuesday July, 23 at Public Works from 7:00am-3:30pm Monday - Friday. We are unable to accept any other type of storm debris.
