We finally had a cold font work its way through the state, allowing for an end to the heat and humidity, at least for a few days. This evening’s weather setup shows how the cold front didn’t make it very far, and therefore was still causing impacts over the eastern half of the state during the day today in terms of sparking off additional cloud cover and showers moving through. High pressure continues to sit back off over the great lakes, and is expected to keep nice weather in the forecast for the weekend, with another weaker cold front being the only bump in the road late Saturday afternoon.
Dan Foster Recognized for Interim Work in Madawaska
PRESQUE ISLE, Maine (WAGM) - The Town of Madawaska honored interim town manager Dan Foster with a plaque at Tuesday’s board of selectman meeting. Foster served in the interim position from March to Mid-July as Madawaska searched to find a replacement for former town manager Gary Picard, who resigned in February. Foster previously served as town manager of Fort Fairfield from 1998 to 2013 and then again in an interim position for 10 months from 2022 to 23.
