Oblong Mayor, Teresa Fielder, is reminding the public about an upcoming “Q and A” with a representative of Prolux Energy about the switch to solar. Fielder says to slow down door-to-door soliciting, Prolux Energy has agreed to hold the question and answer time for all residents who may be interested in solar panels, or just wish to more fully understand the process. Indiana Attorney General Leads 17-State Coalition Defending Ex-Brownsburg Teacher's Religious Rights Against Pronoun Policy
Attorney General Todd Rokita is forging an alliance with counterparts in 17 states, taking a stance on what he views as the protection of religious liberty in the workplace. The case centers around John Kluge, a former Brownsburg High School teacher whose resignation was prompted by the school's demand he adhere to using the preferred pronouns of transgender students, a requirement conflicting with his personal beliefs. According to an official report from the State of Indiana, Rokita and the other attorneys general are urging the 7th Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals to overrule a lower court's decision which held that accommodating Kluge's religious convictions posed an "undue hardship" for the school.

Tyler Reddick was content to walk away from Indianapolis Motor Speedway with a solid points day after finishing second in the Brickyard 400. “Me and Kyle (Larson) were the first few cars on that alternate strategy,” Reddick said. “We had that issue on pit road. I think he had some issue on pit road as well that put him back there. We just didn’t have anything to lose. A great effort by all of us; the car went through the field. Unfortunately, when Kyle got to me and passed me like he did, I wasn’t expecting it. It was really creative, and he continued to catch the rest of the field and pass cars.
