Pets found safe following Davenport apartment fire
No one was injured following a fire at a Davenport apartment complex. According to a press release, on July 27 at approximately 7:23 a.m., the Davenport Fire Department responded to a report of a fire in an apartment at Indian Ridge Apartments in the 3400 block of Jersey Ridge Rd. Crews responded with five fire apparatus and one command vehicle from the Davenport Fire Department and one fire apparatus from the Bettendorf Fire Department.

(Iowa City, IA) -- An investigation is underway after a dog bite Thursday in Iowa City. The Iowa City Animal Services is investigating a dog bite that was reported around 2:20 Thursday afternoon. The dog is being described as a medium-sized pitbull mix. Investigators are trying to determine the dog's rabies vaccine status.
