Motorcyclist Killed In Collision With Deer Identified
(Velva, ND) — Authorities have identified the motorcyclist who died in a collision with a deer near Velva last week as Davis Franklin. He was 58-years-old and lived in Karlsruhe. Investigators say the crash happened on 45th Street North, and Franklin was thrown from his bike. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

MANDAN, N.D. (KFYR) - Hail and wind left their mark on a Mandan business this past Saturday. Third Day Family Farms is struggling after the storm damaged the blooms and stems of many of their specialty cut flowers. They are also being forced to cancel events and tours of the farm because of the damage.
Severe Storm Potential This Evening
MONDAY: Temperatures will climb back into the mid-80s for our region so it will be a hot, sunny Monday. A few isolated storms this evening develop in the Devils Lake basin/northeastern ND. These have the potential to produce hail up to the size of golf balls. The second round of storms arrives a couple hours later and pushes through southeastern ND and the southern Valley. These storms will have the potential to produce large hail as well as damaging wind gusts to 70 mph. Stay weather aware!
