LISBON, Ohio (WKBN) — Angels for Animals was one of multiple local charities raising money at the Kiwanis Antique and Craft Show on Saturday.

The shelter was selling collectibles and belongings all left by a former volunteer who recently passed away.

Kate Haplea died in June and left all the items in her home to Angels for Animals. She was a volunteer and retail manager at the shelter.

“Saving animals is wonderful, but it’s really really expensive. So, you know, it takes a lot of money to run the place,” said Diane Less with the shelter.

All the money raised at the sale from Haplea’s estate will go to Angels for Animal’s general fund.
