Chicago police are warning residents to be aware of online marketplace sellers. Police said that in multiple incidents offenders offered items for sale via a social media marketplace. Interested victims were instructed to meet the offenders at locations that were suggested by the offenders. Upon arrival, the victims are confronted by armed offenders who take the victim’s personal belongings by force.

Thieves stealing guns from parked vehicles in South Loop, Chicago police warn
Chicago police are warning people about a series of recent thefts from cars parked in the South Loop.ABC7 Chicago is now streaming 24/7. Click here to watchInvestigators said in every case but one, an unsecured firearm was taken from each vehicle.The thieves entered the vehicles by either breaking through the passenger side window or by opening an unlocked door.Police are urging people to take steps to protect their cars and belongings. Following an opening set from Stolen Gin, Eggy took the opportunity to debut a new cover, “I Am Trying To Break Your Heart” by Wilco. Umphrey’s then delivered one jam-packed set rather than the usual two.
