The Bedford Citizen Best in Show Group Quarter Finals Voting is Open!
We’re really in it now. We’ve culled the pack from 106 down to 36 on the way to name The Bedford Citizen 2024 Best in Show. Voting for the Group Quarter Finals opens today, and on Thursday we’ll be down to 18 dogs en route to naming the top dog in this just-for-fun popularity contest.
Jumpin’ Juba at Thursday’s Summer Concert Finale
The Bedford Recreation Department will host its final summer concert for the 2024 series starring Jumpin’ Juba at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 1 at the Town’s “Activity Complex” along Mudge Way. The band will perform on the lawn in front of the Kids’ Club building, across the street from the Bedford Free Public Library.

NH man charged with burglary for incidents in Peterborough
KEENE, N.H. (MyKeeneNow) – A New Hampshire man is facing charges following a string of incidents in Peterborough over the weekend. Around 3:30 Sunday afternoon the Peterborough Police Department received a report that a man had just broken into an apartment on Pine Street. The resident confronted the intruder, who then fled on a bicycle, according to a news release from the department.

FDA Recalls Ground Cinnamon Distributed In NJ Over Lead Contamination
Both Advance Food International, Inc. of Maspeth, NY, and American Spices, LLC. of Ozone Park, NY, recalled the products. Shahzada's Cinnamon powder was distributed to retailers in New York, New Jersey, Connecticut and Massachusetts between Jan. 1 and May 24. AFI's powder was distributed across the NYC area between Dec. 1, 2023 and May 15.
