Educational Institutions in Lawrence and Andover Receive Grants to Bolster Security
Two area educational institutions were among 85 nonprofits awarded state grants Thursday to help guard against hate crimes and terror attacks. Central Catholic High School Lawrence was awarded about $40,000 and Greater Lawrence Educational Collaborative in Andover $35,000 from the Massachusetts Nonprofit Security Grant Program. The program uses federal money allocated under the American Rescue Plan Act.
