Members of the Copper State Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution located in Litchfield Park were among more than 4,000 participants in Washington, D.C. for the 133rd Continental Congress.

The service organization’s annual meeting included business sessions, committee meetings, and social functions, and was topped off with formal evening ceremonies. In attendance were Vice Regent Katie Wisener and Brittany Barber, delegates and members of the Copper State Chapter.

Wisener and Barber served as communications and floor pages, respectively.

“I am so proud to represent the Arizona DAR Juniors and all their contributions as the 2024 Arizona Outstanding Junior,” Wisener, Arizona Outstanding Junior, stated.

The DAR Continental Congress is an annual gathering that has been held in Washington since the organization’s founding.

The National Society Daughters of the American Revolution was founded in 1890 to promote historic preservation, education and patriotism.
