Fisherman drowns in lake near Kansas City
KANSAS CITY—Authorities are investigating a drowning at a lake near where Interstate 29 and Interstate 635 meet approximately ten miles north of Kansas City. Just before 8:30p.m. Wednesday, the Kansas City Fire Department was dispatched on a mutual aid response to Houston Lake in Platte County on an apparent drowning, according to Battalion Chief Michael Hopkins.
