Subway gun scanners to be piloted at handful of stations
Some New York City subway stations are set to be fitted with upgraded security systems that can detect guns.Mayor Eric Adams first announced the new subway safety system in March. NYPD released video of the scooter-riding suspect who knocked two men unconscious outside a Hells Kitchen bar, critically injuring one.The incident happened just before 3 a.m. Tuesday morning near West 44th Street and 9th Avenue in Hell's Kitchen.According to police, the man they're looking for was riding a moped at the time of the attack.Video shows suspect driving onto the sidewalk and bumping into a 56-year-old man. Fatal tractor-trailer fire, explosion shuts down N.J. highway
CLIFTON, N.J. — A truck caught fire and erupted into a fireball Monday morning on Route 3 in Passaic County forcing lane closures and major traffic delays, authorities said. The incident was reported shortly after 9 a.m. near the Grove Street exit in Clifton, according to 511nj.org. Clifton police said they received reports of “multiple explosions” at the scene.
