Cicero, N.Y. — A restaurant that combined a quirky diner, a classic sports pub, a pizzeria and one of Upstate New York’s best-known wing brands has closed permanently. The Cicero Eatery at 7785 Frontage Road closed Sunday, said Robb Bidwell, who owns the business with partner Doug Balle. Rome residents can soon apply for money from $1 million-plus recovery fund
Rome, N.Y. — Rome residents harmed by severe thunderstorms and a tornado that plowed through the city last week can soon apply to a recovery fund, officials said. About $175,000 has already been raised for the Rome Victims Recovery Fund, according to Anthony Picente Jr., the Oneida County executive. The county plans to contribute $1 million, he said.

Syracuse, N.Y. — If the 96-gallon trash cart Syracuse households received last year isn’t big enough, residents will soon be able to get a second container.
