Killeen police investigate double homicide involving armed subject
KILLEEN, Texas — Killeen police are investigating a double homicide after officers found two individuals dead from apparent gunshot wounds in a residence on Karen Drive. Justice of the Peace Gregory Johnson pronounced 28-year-old Tanesha Sedwich deceased at 8:46 p.m. and 29-year-old Walter Sedwich at 8:48 p.m. on July 22, 2024. Autopsies have been ordered to be performed at the Southwest Institute of Forensic Science in Dallas.

Housing grants approved by Killeen City Council
Federal grants are set to bolster the city of Killeen. The Killeen City Council held a special meeting at 5 p.m. Tuesday evening to address, among other issues, an ordinance authorizing a plan for the Community Development Block Grant, or CDBG, and Home Investment Partnerships funds, also known as HOME grants. The ordinance was unanimously approved by the City Council following the second public hearing on it Tuesday night.

A man and woman in their 20s are dead after police say they found their bodies inside a west Killeen residence Monday night. “On July 22, 2024, at 8:39 p.m., Killeen Police Officers were dispatched to a residence in the 1300 block of Karen Drive, in reference to a domestic disturbance involving an armed subject. Officers made entry to the residence and located one male and one female deceased from apparent gunshot wounds,” Killeen Police Department said in a news releases on Tuesday morning.
