Vehicle Crashes into Temple Apartment Complex, Driver Critically Injured
TEMPLE, Texas — A vehicle crashed into an apartment complex in Temple on Sunday, critically injuring the driver and displacing two residents. Temple Fire and Rescue responded to the incident at Adams Bend Apartments, located at 3101 W. Adams Ave., at 5:50 p.m. Crews found a single vehicle that had exited the roadway, struck a brick entrance, and rolled over a security fence before coming to rest against a building inside the complex, according to a press release from Temple Fire and Rescue.

Band leadership from C.H.Yoe, Rosebud-Lott, Clifton, Valley Mills, Rogers and Palmer participated in the event. Area bands will begin practicing for the coming marching season in August.
Killeen police investigate double homicide involving armed subject
KILLEEN, Texas - Killeen police are investigating a double homicide after officers found two individuals dead from apparent gunshot wounds in a residence on Karen Drive. Justice of the Peace Gregory Johnson pronounced 28-year-old Tanesha Sedwich deceased at 8:46 p.m. and 29-year-old Walter Sedwich at 8:48 p.m. on July 22, 2024. Autopsies have been ordered to be performed at the Southwest Institute of Forensic Science in Dallas. Detectives are actively investigating the incident, according to a press release from the Killeen Police Department. No additional information is available at this time.
CISD board gets update on construction projects
The Cameron ISD School Board heard an update from the construction team about the progress of the new Career and Technology Center and renovations to the district’s Ag facilities during a meeting on Monday night. Dave Pfingsten with EBCO General Contractors and his team updated the board. There are two months remaining in the contract and the project is currently in budget. “We are still looking to finish in the contractual time frame,” Pfingsten said. “A lot of stuff is happening and we are working to have a successful project for the community that we can see and enjoy every day.” He said they...

Killeen, TX (July 23, 2024): On July 22, 2024, at 8:39 p.m., Killeen Police Officers were dispatched to a residence in the 1300 block of Karen Drive, in reference to a domestic disturbance involving an armed subject. Officers made entry to the residence and located one male and one female deceased from apparent gunshot wounds.
