FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (KNWA/KFTA) — After surviving domestic violence, Allison Magann, founder of the Little Rock nonprofit Hope for Hope, is now using a firework fundraiser to help others in similar situations.

She is planning to use the funds to hire another full-time position at Hope for Hope to support and mentor survivors, Magann said.

“We’re having a firework of hope fundraiser and just for the cost of a box of fireworks like $10, you can really help support our mission to continue to allow us to service victims of domestic violence and fight for policy change,” Magann said.

Petition falls short for tax exemptions on feminine hygiene products, diapers

Hope for Hope aims to educate the community about spotting the early signs of domestic violence, how to get personal and legal help and where victims can go to leave a dangerous situation.

Details of the event are to be announced. To learn more about Hope for Hope and for updates, please visit www.hopeforhopear.org .
