A Work of Art benefit honors Arkansas Jazz legends Art Porter Sr. & Art Porter Jr.

The upcoming A Work of Art benefit coming next week to the venues across Little Rock looks to honor Arkansas jazz legends Art Porter Sr. & Art Porter Jr. while also helping local music students.

Blake Bennett and Pam Smith stopped by FOX 16 Good Day to talk about this year’s festival, while Minors in Music gave a preview of some of the great music that they will perform to kick off the event.

There will be six concerts in total for the festival, including performances by Quiana Lynell on July 31, Kyle Turner on August 1 and the Arkansas debut of The String Queens on August 3.

The festival benefits Art Porter Music Education, which funds scholarships for student musicians in central Arkansas, including 2024 recipient Emily Wheel from Van Buren High School.
